A drainage system has been constructed to tackle the perennial flooding situation at Abossey Okai spare parts Lane in Accra.
The project was funded by the Abossey Okai Spare Parts Dealers Association with support from some philanthropists in the spare parts fraternity.
At a brief ceremony to officially open the drainage system, the Chairman of the Association, Mr. Henry Okyere Jnr put the cost of the project at 30,000 Ghana cedis.
He explained that the said amount covers cost of chippings, hiring of machines, cost of labour inter alia.

The construction of the drainage took two weeks to complete.
On his part, an aspiring Member of Parliament for Ablekuma Central, Jefferson Sackey lauded the leadership for a good work done.
The aspiring MP who doubles as the Deputy Communication Officer at the presidency, reiterated goverment’s commitment in improving the poor road network in the Ablekuma Central municipality.
He also pledged his continual support for other projects in the area when need be.
