Beatrice Annan, a lawyer and prominent member of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) Communication Team, has reassured Ghanaians of the party’s commitment to a smooth and effective transition process.
In a Facebook post addressed to Ghanaians, Beatrice Annan emphasized the President-elect’s team’s dedication to conducting the transition in a manner that prioritizes the nation’s welfare.
She maintained that the process aligns with the party’s “Reset Agenda,” which aims to address key challenges facing the country and set it on a path of progress.
“Dear Ghanaians, be rest assured that the NDC Transition Team, led by the President-elect, John Dramani Mahama, is conducting the transition in the best interest of Ghana and in line with the Reset Agenda,” she wrote on Facebook on December 27. The post came with pictures of the NDC transition team members having a roundtable discussion.
The Reset Agenda has been a central theme in the NDC’s campaign, focusing on tackling economic hardships, rebuilding key institutions, and promoting good governance.
The legal practitioner’s message is seen as an attempt to reassure citizens and stakeholders of the NDC’s readiness to govern responsibly.
The NDC’s transition team has reportedly begun engaging various stakeholders to ensure a seamless transfer of power. This includes consultations with state institutions, civil society organizations, and international partners to ensure the new administration hits the ground running.
John Dramani Mahama, who previously served as Ghana’s president from 2012 to 2017, has promised to implement policies that will restore confidence in Ghana’s economy and address pressing social issues.

The Electoral Commission declared John Mahama the winner of the December election, setting the stage for his second term in office, beating his closest contender and Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia of the governing NPP in excess of 1.5 million votes.
