The Lady Anne’s Ministry & Fidelity Consults, a care-giving group of counselors, has paid a life-changing visit to the Senior Correctional Centre formerly known as the Ghana Borstal Institute in Accra.
This is a juvenile correction institute under the Ghana Prisons Service.
The group of counsellors interacted with the officers and the 251 children undergoing reformation at the institute.
The CEO of Lady Anne’s Ministry & Fidelity Consults, Madam Rosemond Anne Nutifafa Adanuti spoke on the topic “I have a dream” borrowed from the famous Martin Luther King Jnr catchphrase.
She encouraged the inmates not to give up in life, noting that there is a good reason why they find themselves at the Centre at this point in their lives so that they would be reformed and restored back to society.
“Being here should not derail your individual dreams, you should still hold on them,” she advised.
Madam Nutifafa Adanuti further counselled the children to be obedient, focused, determined, hardworking, and optimistic among other positive attributes.
Another counsellor, Mr. Festus Amoah also spoke on the topic “Look beyond your Surrounding”.
He encouraged them to appreciate the fact that the future holds good and dignifying things for each one of them when they step out of the Centre as reformers.
The organisation also presented various items to the inmates including stationeries, sugar, rice, oil, detergents, toilet tissues, spaghetti, soft drinks and pastries.
The inmates called for God’s blessings on the team and made a passionate appeal to corporate Ghana to come to their aid especially with working tools for carpentry, masonry, blacksmith, tiling among others.
The team from Lady Anne’s Ministry & Fidelity Consults were received by ASP Enoch Kusi Boadum the Chaplain, Suzana and Helen from the counselling unit of the Centre.
