Ghanaian striker Raphael Dwamena has been ruled out of football until further notice after suffering another health problem.
Danish SuperLiga club Vejle BK have announced that Ghanaian international Raphael Dwamena has been ruled out of action indefinitely following his health condition.
Dwamena’s woes looked to have been in the past after he had a surgery to correct the defect but six months after, he has been diagnosed with another.
The Danish club announced the 25-year-old’s predicament on Monday evening signifying that he might be out for a long, long time.
The club’s official statement reads “The Ghanaian attacker came to Nørreskoven after a heart operation in January, where the 25-year-old attacker had an ICD-Implantable Cardioverter Defibrillator implanted.”
“This has been continuously monitored by Vejle Boldklub’s health staff and medical team throughout the start-up, on the training ground and during the club’s matches.”
“There has now been a single case where Raphael Dwamena’s limit values when monitoring the heart have been too high, and this unfortunately also means that Vejle Boldklub must now take Dwamena off the field.”
Dwamena joined Danish side, Vejle BK on a three-year deal from Spanish club Deportivo Alaves where he saw little playing time this summer.
He has scored two goals with an assist in his five appearances for Vejle BK
