Prominent voices within the National Democratic Congress (NDC) are rallying behind Prof. Michael Kpessa-Whyte, urging former President John Dramani Mahama to consider appointing him in his administration.

Advocates for Prof. Kpessa-Whyte, led by former Constituency Chairman of Ayawaso Central, Ebenezer Arkutu, highlight his exceptional track record of loyalty, competence, and leadership as compelling reasons for his inclusion in the Mahama-led government.

Prof. Kpessa-Whyte is celebrated as a symbol of unyielding dedication to the NDC and a paragon of incorruptible corporate leadership. His tenure as Executive Director of the National Service Secretariat (NSS) left an indelible mark, with his commitment to grassroots engagement and progressive governance cementing his reputation as a transformative leader.

During his time at the NSS, Prof. Kpessa-Whyte spearheaded initiatives that elevated the institution’s relevance and impact, making it a beacon of excellence. His efforts resonated with the youth, inspiring a new generation of party loyalists and reinforcing the NDC’s grassroots mobilization strategy.

Beyond his professional accomplishments, Prof. Kpessa-Whyte’s fearless party activism has endeared him to many within the NDC. As a lecturer at the University of Ghana, he boldly championed the party’s ideals, inspiring student movements across university campuses nationwide. His efforts played a pivotal role in galvanizing youth support for the NDC ahead of the critical 2024 elections.

Notably, Prof. Kpessa-Whyte demonstrated unwavering commitment to the NDC, even at great personal risk. His decision to prioritize party advocacy, despite the potential threat of imprisonment in court battles linked to his defense of the NDC, underscores his steadfast loyalty.

With extensive experience in public sector governance and a proven record of innovation, Prof. Kpessa-Whyte is seen as a fitting candidate to help deliver President Mahama’s vision for Ghana. His visionary leadership and ability to navigate complex corporate and political landscapes make him a trusted figure who can contribute significantly to achieving the legacy mandate of the Mahama administration.

As President Mahama is forming his government, calls to recognize Prof. Michael Kpessa-Whyte’s contributions and capabilities are growing louder. Supporters argue that his appointment would not only reflect the values of loyalty and excellence but also signal the party’s commitment to leveraging seasoned leadership for national progress.
